Àbélà™ Store is open Monday – Friday between 9am – 5pm. Our stores are usually closed during national holidays however, our online store ( is open 24/7 whilst our social media pages are open from 8am – 8pm Monday – Sunday except on national holidays.

We currently accept Visa & MasterCard across all payment platforms (Online and in-store). Our secure real-time credit card processing facilities will charge your card at the time the order is placed. The charge will appear on your statement as “Scents of Africa”.


We accept USD($) and NGN(N) direct bank transfer payments. NGN direct bank transfer details are available at the check-out point. USD direct bank transfer details will be made available to you upon request via our Customer Service Representative. For payments originating from within Nigeria, we currently receive payments through the Paystack gateway


For payments originating from outside Nigeria, we currently do not accept PayPal.

You have 7 calendar days to swap/return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return/ product swap, your item must be unused, in the original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it. Return items should be accompanied by a copy of the invoice and/or receipt of purchase (preferably the original copy)

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you of the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a product swap or refund to your original method of payment in line with the terms and conditions of the payment gateway.

For card payments, the time of receipt of credit will be dependent on your card issuer’s policies.


  1. Return policy is not applicable to accurate order items that were customer verified before leaving the store.
  2. Discounted/Sales items are final sales only and do not apply to this return policy.
  3. Please note unless an item is defective there will be no returns accepted on any product purchased including custom-label, private-label, or contract-manufactured products.


You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your purchased item. Shipping costs are non­-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

The Delivery Company has been contracted to perform the delivery service for you. Examine your order upon delivery to ensure that there are no visible signs of damaged, missing, or incorrect pieces. In the event that there are missing, damaged, or incorrect packages, please retain the item(s), indicate the problem on the Delivery Note, and contact us within 48 hours of your delivery. A signed delivery receipt, without notations of missing, damaged, or incorrect item(s) represents your acceptance of the complete order in perfect condition. For any other problem with your order, please refer to our return policy.


How long does it take for Àbélà™ World to ship my order?

Our goal is to ship orders within 1-2 business days of making an order for items in stock. Production time applies for pre-orders and custom-made items. These have different production timelines.  Production time for pre-order items is usually advised upon purchase.

Do you do express shipping on orders?

Yes. Expedited shipping methods will ship the same business day for in-stock orders if placed before 11:00 am (GMT+1). For custom orders, expedited production and shipping are available on some order items.  Expedited shipping attracts extra shipping charges.  Please note that any expedited shipping options requested after 1:00 pm (GMT+1) will ship out the next business day and be charged at the extra shipping charge rate. Whenever an extended delay is expected in shipping your package, our Customer Service team will notify you via phone or email. Please be aware that all expedited shipping options do not include Weekend or Nigerian National Holiday delivery.

Our goal is to ship to you as fast as possible, however, during peak holiday times or bad weather situations, delays may cause an overall increase in shipping times.

Customer Pickup:

The option to pick up your order from our store is available. Kindly give us advance notice before picking up your order from Àbélà™ Store. If possible please give us at least 24-hour advance notice before picking up your order from our warehouse.

Shipping Rates:

At Àbélà™ World, our shipping rates vary depending on the customer’s shipping location and the weight of the item to be shipped.  Standard shipping rates apply for items shipped to Lagos locations and weighing below 10kg. Shipping rates for delivery outside Lagos State, Nigeria would be advised by our customer service team. The rates charged are reflective of shipping and handling. In many cases, there is a large amount of packaging material that is used to ensure items are shipped safely to the customer and our shipping rates are reflective of those packaging and handling rates. We take great care in negotiating the best possible rates with our carriers and pass much of that discount onto our customer.

When will I get my shipment?

We are located in Lagos, Nigeria.  Some areas may take longer due to the frequency of deliveries to your location.  Depending on your location, your order will typically arrive 1-7 business days after it is processed for shipping within Nigeria. For international shipping time typically is 7 – 21 business days depending on the courier service provider. Shipping has been contracted to a delivery company to handle shipping. To keep you posted, we’ll send a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order leaves our store that will include a tracking number for your order.

Where does my order ship from?

All orders ship from our Àbélà™ Centre in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. We operate a direct-to-you shipping model for all online orders so we can guarantee the quality, speed, and accuracy of your order. By keeping all shipping in-house, we can guarantee quality, speed, and accuracy in fulfilling your order.

Hazardous Shipping Information

Shipments of essential oils and fragrances that have a flash point of 60.5 degrees Celsius (°C)/ 140.9 degrees Fahrenheit (°F) or less are considered hazardous materials. Flammable Liquids with a flashpoint above 38 degrees Celsius (°C)/ 100.4 degrees Celsius may be exempted when shipped by ground. Any item designated as hazardous material may incur higher shipping costs and longer shipping times. Please note that we are unable to expedite shipping on any items designated as a hazardous material.
